of <h1>Bhandari Foundation Approved for Tax Benefits Under Section 35(1)(ii) for Scientific Research Until March 1983.</h1> The Bhandari Balweerchand Pratap Chand Memorial Research Foundation, Bombay, has been approved by the Secretary of the Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi, as an institution under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval is for its work in natural and applied sciences, excluding agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and medicine. The foundation must maintain separate accounts for funds received for scientific research, submit annual returns of its research activities by April 30 each year, and provide annual accounts to the Commissioner of Income-tax. This approval is valid from August 28, 1981, to March 31, 1983.
