of <h1>Amendment Updates Central Excise Officers List: 'Commissioners of Central Excise (Adjudication)' Added for Major Cities</h1> Notification No. 36/2002-CE(N.T.), dated 31 October 2002, amends a previous notification from 26 June 2001 regarding Central Excise Officers. The amendment, issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs under the Central Excise Rules, 2002, updates the table in the original notification. Specifically, it replaces the entries in column (2) against S. No. 2 with 'Commissioners of Central Excise (Adjudication)' for the cities of Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. This amendment takes effect from 1 November 2002.
