Parsavnath Developers Ltd., a private organization in Uttaranchal, proposed establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Sahastra Dhara Road, Dehradun, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government, satisfied with the compliance of the necessary requirements, granted approval on October 25, 2006. The government officially notified the designated area in Dehradun, listing specific land parcels in a table, as an SEZ, exercising powers under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and in accordance with the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006. The total area covers 13.5426 hectares.
