of <h1>'Kanoli-vision Saver' Eye Camps' Tax Benefits Extended Under Section 35AC with Increased Funding</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Kanoli-vision Saver' Eye Camps, a rural outreach eye care program conducted by a health center in Tamil Nadu, for an additional three years starting from the assessment year 2003-2004. Initially specified for three years beginning in 1997 and extended in 2000, the project is recognized under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The project cost has been amended from Rs. 45.00 lakhs to Rs. 90.00 lakhs, following a recommendation by the National Committee, which confirmed the project's proper execution.
