Initially approved for three years starting from the assessment year 2001-2002, the project is now specified for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2003-04. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, restricting donations to Rs. 74 lakhs, while maintaining the approved cost of Rs. 10.7 crores.
