of <h1>Central Government exempts certain goods from excise duties under Notification No. 03/2002-CE; rescinded by Notification No. 13/2002-CE.</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 03/2002-CE on January 29, 2002, under the Central Excise Act, 1944, exempting goods under Chapter 27 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. This exemption applies to goods cleared from the Assam Oil Division of the Indian Oil Corporation in Digboi. The exemption reduces the excise duties to fifty percent of the applicable rate, subject to other existing notifications under the same Act. This notification was later rescinded by Notification No. 13/2002-CE on March 1, 2002.
