of <h1>Government Amends Section 35AC to Extend Eligibility for Community Projects, Including Health and Employment Initiatives</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. S.O. 1124(E) dated 29th September 2003, under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961, to extend the eligibility of the Community Aid and Sponsorship Programme's project for constructing old age homes and other initiatives. The amendment includes two additional programs: the High Range Area Community Health and Empowerment Project and the Wayanand Area Community Health and Employment Project, each costing Rs. 30 lakhs. The total project cost is now Rs. 207.70 lakhs for the assessment years 2004-2005 to 2006-2007.
