of <h1>Excise Duty Exemption Extended to UNIDO Under Amended Notification No. 108/1995-CE by Central Government.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 108/1995-CE, dated August 28, 1995, to include an exemption from excise duty for supplies made to the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). This amendment, issued under Notification No. 50/2001-CE on October 12, 2001, is enacted under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957. The amendment adds UNIDO to the list of organizations eligible for duty exemption, following serial number 7 in the notification's annexure.
