of <h1>Income-tax Act Amendment: Notification Adjusts Territorial Areas in Schedule I, Affecting Serial Numbers 190 and 193.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes, under section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has issued Notification No. 5 of 2004 dated January 8, 2004, amending Schedule I of a previous notification. Specifically, at serial number 190, the entry '600 037-OTA' under 'Territorial Area' is deleted. At serial number 193, between '600 034-Nugambakkam' and '600 038-ICF Colony,' the entry '600 037-Mogappair' is inserted. This amendment takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
