Initially approved for three years starting from the 2002-2003 assessment year, the project's cost was increased to Rs. 130 lakhs in 2003. The project has been extended for an additional three years beginning the 2004-2005 financial year, following recommendations by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, without altering the approved cost.
