<h1>India Amends Import Rules for Natural Rubber, Permits Entry Through All Ports Under Notification No. 44/(RE-2003)</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued Notification No. 44/(RE-2003) / 2002-2007, dated August 6, 2004, amending the Import Licensing Notes for Chapter 40 of the ITC (HS) Classification. This amendment allows the import of natural rubber, classified under Exim Head 40.01, through all customs ports for both Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) and Export Oriented Units (EOU). This decision is made under the powers granted by the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and is intended to serve the public interest.
