of <h1>Amendment to Import Licensing: New Vehicles Allowed Only Through Designated Customs Ports Under Notification No. 39/2003</h1> Notification No. 39/2003, dated April 21, 2004, issued under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, amends the Import Licensing Notes to Chapter 87 of the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 2002-07. The amendment specifies that the import of new vehicles is permitted through designated customs ports, including Nhava Sheva, Kolkata, Chennai, ICD-Tughlakabad, Delhi Air Cargo, and JN Port, Mumbai. This directive is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
