Exim Policy Amendment: Excludes Diamonds, Precious Metals, Food Grains, and Agri Products from Duty Free Entitlements
The Central Government has amended the Exim Policy 2002-07 by correcting Notification No. 28 dated 28/01/2004. Under this correction, certain exports and imports are excluded from the Duty Free Entitlement Certificate for Status Holders. Specifically, exports of rough, uncut, and semi-polished diamonds, gold and silver in any form, food grains from the central pool, and items under free shipping bills are not eligible for entitlement calculations. Additionally, imports of agricultural products classified under Chapters 1-24 of the ITC (HS) are not permitted under the Duty Free Credit Entitlement Certificate for Status Holders. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
