of <h1>India Amends ITC (HS) Export and Import Classifications; Deletes Specific Import Licensing Conditions for 2002-2007 Period</h1> The Government of India has issued amendments to the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for the period 2002-2007. Under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Export and Import Policy of 2002-2007, specific conditions listed under the Import Licensing Notes to Chapter 1, specifically S No. (2) (iii), (2) (iv), and (2) (v), have been deleted. This amendment is made in the public interest and is documented in Notification No. 22(RE-2003)/2002-2007, dated November 14, 2003, by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
