<h1>India Amends Export and Import Policy: DTA Sales of Certain Items Now Count for NFEP/EP in EOU and SEZ Schemes.</h1> The Government of India has amended the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. The amendments to Paragraphs 6.9(h) and 7.8(vii) allow for the inclusion of Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) sales of certain non-ITA-I items, manufactured in units with zero basic customs duty, to be counted for Net Foreign Exchange Earnings (NFEP) or Export Performance (EP) under the Export Oriented Unit (EOU), Export Processing Zone (EPZ), Electronic Hardware Technology Park (EHTP), Software Technology Park (STP), and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) schemes. This notification is issued in public interest.
