It allows supplies from EOU/EPZ units without converting licences into Advance Release Orders. It mandates specific export licenses for restricted items and addresses issues with Letters of Intent for units approved before April 2002. It clarifies investment criteria for EOU projects, allowing exceptions for certain sectors. Amendments permit EOU/EPZ units to sell freely importable products in the DTA with full duties and grant deemed export benefits for DTA supplies to EOU/EPZ units. Obsolete goods can be destroyed with Customs permission without duty.
