of <h1>India Announces Export-Import Policy 2002-07 Under Section 5 of Foreign Trade Act, Effective April 1, 2002</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued Notification No. 1/2002-07, announcing the Export and Import Policy for the period 2002-07. This policy, enacted under the authority of Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and paragraph 1.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, will be effective from April 1, 2002. The notification is issued in the interest of the public and is documented in the Gazette of India Extraordinary. The Director General and Joint Director General of Foreign Trade are responsible for this issuance.
