of <h1>India Allows Free Import of Donation Articles for Gujarat Earthquake Relief, Subject to Conditions in Circular No.7/2001-Cus.</h1> The Government of India, under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, permits the free import of articles intended for donation to aid the relief and rehabilitation of those affected by the earthquake in Gujarat. This import allowance is subject to conditions outlined in the Department of Revenue circular No.7/2001-Cus. dated 27.01.2001. However, items classified as 'Prohibited' under the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items are not permitted for import. This notification is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
