<h1>India Updates Export-Import Policy: EPCG Licence Holders Can Source Capital Goods Domestically; Paragraph 9.13(b) References Revised</h1> The Government of India has amended the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, allowing holders of an EPCG licence to source capital goods from domestic manufacturers. Under this amendment, domestic manufacturers can apply for an Advance Licence for Deemed Exports to import necessary inputs and components for manufacturing these goods. After supplying the capital goods, manufacturers may replenish these inputs. The export obligation for the EPCG licence will be based on the actual CIF value utilized. Additionally, references in paragraph 9.13(b) are updated to include 'paragraph 10.3(b) & (c).' This notification is issued in the public interest.
