of <h1>India Amends Export and Import Policy: EDI Transactions for Status and Green Card Holders Processed in 24 Hours</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce, has amended the Export and Import Policy of 1997-2002 to enhance efficiency and transparency in export-related activities. As per the amendment, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions submitted by status holders and green card holders will be processed within 24 hours. This change, enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, aims to expedite the transaction process. The notification, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, is intended to serve the public interest.
