<h1>India Amends Export-Import Policy to Allow Rupee-Paid Russian Exports for Duty Free Certificate Under Specific Conditions</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, allowing Russian exports paid in rupees to qualify for the Duty Free Replenishment Certificate (DFRC). This amendment, effective from August 3, 2000, is made under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. The DFRC can be issued for exports paid in non-convertible currency, but these exports must meet specific value addition requirements as detailed in Appendix-39 of the Handbook (Vol.1). This notification is issued in the public interest by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
