India Extends Onion Export Deadline under Foreign Trade Act; Excludes Bangalore and Krishnapuram Rose Onions
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued a notification amending the export policy for onions. Under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, the deadline for exporting onions, excluding Bangalore rose onions and Krishnapuram rose onions, has been extended. For No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued in May 2000, shipments are permitted until July 31, 2000. This amendment modifies previous notifications and is issued in the public interest. The notification is signed by the Director General of Foreign Trade and communicated to all relevant parties.
