<h1>India Updates Export Policy: Bangalore Rose & Krishnapuram Onions Now Managed by Designated Agencies with New Fees</h1> The Government of India has amended the Export and Import Policy for 1997-2002 concerning the export of Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram onions. KAPPEC, Bangalore, and AP MARKFED, Hyderabad, are designated as the canalizing agencies for these onion varieties. They must adhere to procedures established by NAFED for regular onions. Both agencies will issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for exports and charge exporters Rs. 20 per metric ton to cover administrative expenses. An additional Rs. 20 per metric ton may be charged for specific infrastructure projects upon approval by the Department of Commerce. This notification is issued in the public interest.
