of <h1>RBI amends Foreign Exchange Regulations, 2000, removing 'NRO/' from Regulation 7 proviso (d) under FEMA Act, 1999.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India issued an amendment to the Foreign Exchange Management (Borrowing and Lending in Rupees) Regulations, 2000, under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. Effective immediately, this amendment modifies Regulation 7 by removing the term 'Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO)/' from proviso (d). This change was documented in Notification No. FEMA 31/2000-RB, dated November 27, 2000, and published in the Government of India's Official Gazette on February 12, 2001.
