of <h1>Central Government Appoints Directors as Commissioners of Customs (Appeals) for North Zone Under Section 4(1) of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under Section 4(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, appoints the Director (Publication) and Director (Audit) from New Delhi as the Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) for the North Zone. This appointment grants them jurisdiction over the North Zone Collectorates. This decision is formalized in Notification No. 4/90-Cus. (N.T.), dated February 26, 1990.
