<h1>India Sets New Exchange Rates for Imported Goods Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective March 1, 2007.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, issued Notification No. 18/2007-NT-Customs on February 23, 2007, under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 1/2007-NT-Customs dated January 24, 2007, and sets the exchange rates for various foreign currencies against the Indian Rupee for imported goods, effective March 1, 2007. The specified exchange rates include currencies such as the Australian Dollar at 35.35 INR, US Dollar at 44.45 INR, and Japanese Yen at 36.80 INR, among others listed in Schedules I and II.
