This decision follows findings that these batteries were exported to India below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. The duty, effective from February 6, 2001, is calculated as the difference between US$ 74.75 per 1000 pieces and the landed value of imports per 1000 pieces. This measure aims to protect the domestic industry and will remain in force until February 5, 2007.
