India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Pentaerythritol Imports from Canada, Japan, Taiwan to Protect Domestic Industry
The Central Government of India imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of Pentaerythritol from Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, following findings that these imports were below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. The duty rates are set at $122.40 per metric tonne for Canada, $183.60 for Japan, and $257.60 for Taiwan. The duty applies retroactively from March 27, 2002, and is payable in Indian currency. This measure is effective until March 26, 2008, but imports from Canada are exempt from this duty starting March 27, 2007. The exchange rate for duty calculation is determined by the date of the bill of entry.
