of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on 2-Methyl (5) Nitro Imidazole from China to Protect Local Industry</h1> The Central Government has imposed a final anti-dumping duty on the import of 2-Methyl (5) Nitro Imidazole (2-MNI) from China, as per Notification No. 30/2002-Customs, dated 27th March 2002. This decision follows findings that 2-MNI was exported to India below normal value, causing injury to the Indian industry. The duty is calculated as the difference between US $4.32 per kilogram and the landed value of the imported product. The duty is effective from 18th July 2001 to 17th July 2007 and is payable in Indian currency.
