of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption for Rihand-Sasaram Project Equipment Rescinded by Notification No. 12/2020-Customs.</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 73/99-Customs on June 8, 1999, under the Customs Act, 1962, granting a customs duty exemption for specific equipment imported by a corporation for the Rihand-Sasaram-Biharshariff HVDC Link Back to Back Station Project. The exempted items include thyristor valves, transformers, control equipment, cooling apparatus, reactors, capacitors, filters, circuit breakers, surge arresters, insulators, fire fighting and air conditioning equipment, cables, batteries, lighting, and related spares. This exemption was later rescinded by Notification No. 12/2020-Customs on February 2, 2020.
