of <h1>Anti-dumping duty imposed on Chinese and UAE vitrified tiles; provisional assessments and possible retrospective duties pending review.</h1> The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on imports of vitrified and porcelain tiles, excluding vitrified industrial tiles, from China and the UAE, following a determination that these imports were causing injury to the Indian industry by being sold below normal value. Initially imposed in 2003, the duty was subject to review following a request from a Chinese producer and exporter. Pending this review, provisional assessments were ordered, with potential retrospective duties if the review confirms dumping. The notification was rescinded in 2007. Importers may be required to provide security for potential duties during the review period.
