of <h1>Amendment Adds Coimbatore to Courier Import and Export Clearance Locations Under Regulation 2 of 1998 Regulations.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued amendments to the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. Effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, the 2006 amendment modifies regulation 2, sub-regulation (2), clause (a), by adding 'Coimbatore' to the list of locations alongside 'Trivandrum, Cochin' for courier import and export clearance. This change is authorized under section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962, as detailed in Notification No. 68/2006-CUSTOMS (N.T.).
