of <h1>Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation's healthcare project for tribals extended under Section 35AC with increased funding until 2014-15.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation's project, 'Treatment of Cancer, Kidney Failure (dialysis) and Eye Diseases for Tribal,' under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the financial year 2009-10, the project is now extended for another three years, covering 2012-13 to 2014-15. Additionally, the project's allowable deduction cost has been increased from Rs. 10.29 crore to Rs. 19.77 crore, following the recommendation of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
