of <h1>India Rescinds 2007 Service Tax Notification; Changes Effective July 1, 2012 Under Finance Act Sections 93 & 94</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 35/2012, announcing the rescission of Notification No. 32/2007 related to Service Tax, initially published on May 22, 2007. This action is taken under the authority granted by sections 93 and 94 of the Finance Act, 1994. The rescission will take effect from July 1, 2012, but does not affect any actions taken or omitted under the previous notification before this date.
