of <h1>India Ends Section 66 of Finance Act 1994 from July 1, 2012; Past Actions Unaffected by Change</h1> The Central Government of India, through Notification No. 22/2012-Service Tax, announced that the provisions of section 66 of the Finance Act, 1994, will cease to apply starting from July 1, 2012. This change does not affect actions taken or omitted before this date. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, on June 5, 2012, and is intended for publication in the Gazette of India.
