<h1>India's New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Effective September 2004: USD, Euro, Yen Rates Updated</h1> Notification No. 95/2004-NT-Customs, dated 26th August 2004, issued by the Government of India, specifies the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees effective from 1st September 2004. This supersedes the previous notification No. 90/2004-NT-Customs. The exchange rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for individual units of currencies such as the US Dollar (46.50 INR), Euro (56.20 INR), and others, while Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of the Japanese Yen at 42.50 INR.
