of <h1>Delhi VAT Act Amended: Embassy of Burundi and Diplomats Get VAT Exemption on Official and Personal Purchases.</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has amended the Sixth Schedule of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, to grant VAT exemption or refund for official purchases made by the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in New Delhi and personal purchases by its diplomats. This change, requested by the Ministry of External Affairs, is based on reciprocity principles. The amendment introduces a new sub-entry (15B) specifying these exemptions, with a minimum invoice value of Rs. 1500 eligible for refund.
