of <h1>India Amends Notification to Exempt Clubs/Associations Setting Up Waste Treatment Facilities; Includes Cooperative Societies</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 42/2011-ST, dated July 25, 2011, to exempt clubs or associations involved in setting up common facilities for the treatment and recycling of effluents and solid waste. The amendment replaces the phrase 'of dyeing units' with 'including registered cooperative societies' and removes the words 'discharged by dyeing units' from the explanation. This change takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
