India Extends Wheat Product Export Validity to March 2012, Allowing 6,50,000 Tons Through Customs EDI Ports
The Government of India has extended the validity for exporting 6,50,000 tons of wheat products until March 31, 2012. This amendment, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, modifies previous notifications to allow continued export of wheat flour, semolina, and other wheat products. The export is free but restricted to the specified quantity and must be conducted through Customs EDI Ports. The export quantity will be monitored fortnightly by the Customs Department and DGCI&S, with reports sent to relevant government departments. This extension follows earlier permissions valid until March 31, 2011.
