<h1>India Raises Minimum Export Price for Onions to $230/MT, Excludes Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram Varieties</h1> The Government of India, through the Department of Commerce, has amended the Minimum Export Price (MEP) for onions. Effective immediately, the MEP for onions, excluding Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram varieties, is set at US$ 230 per Metric Ton F.O.B., revised from the previous US$ 200 per Metric Ton. The MEP for Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram onions remains unchanged at US$ 350 per Metric Ton F.O.B. This amendment is part of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014 and is authorized under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992.
