<h1>New Customs Exchange Rates Announced for Export Goods Effective April 1, 2004, Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> Notification No. 37/2004 - Customs (N.T.), issued on 25th March 2004, sets the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies to Indian rupees for exported goods, effective from 1st April 2004. This supersedes the previous notification No. 23/2004-NT-Customs. The rates are specified for various currencies, including the Australian Dollar at 33.50 INR, Euro at 54.90 INR, and US Dollar at 44.60 INR. Additionally, the Japanese Yen is set at 41.80 INR per 100 units. These rates are determined under the Customs Act, 1962, for export purposes.
