<h1>Jammu & Kashmir Companies Get Immunity for Filing Delays Under 2003 Scheme, per Companies Act Sections 637 & 637B.</h1> The Company Law Settlement (Jammu and Kashmir) Scheme, 2003, was established by the Central Government to provide immunity from prosecution and to allow for the compounding of delays in filing specific documents under the Companies Act, 1956. This scheme is specifically applicable to companies operating within the State of Jammu and Kashmir. It was enacted under the authority granted by section 637B, in conjunction with section 637 of the Companies Act. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Company Affairs, on September 30, 2003.
