According to Notification No. 1001/1/DR, dated February 27, 2003, a member can issue compliance certificates to a maximum of fifty companies per calendar year, starting January 1, 2003. Exceeding this limit will be considered professional misconduct under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. For firms, this ceiling applies individually to each partner authorized to sign compliance certificates as per section 383A of the Companies Act, 1956.
