of <h1>NABARD Designated as Public Financial Institution by Amendment to Companies Act Notification S.O. 440 (E)</h1> The Central Government, under the Companies Act, 1956, has amended the notification S.O. 1329 dated 8th May 1978. This amendment, specified in S.O. 440 (E) dated 17th April 2002, designates the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) as a public financial institution. This change is officially recorded in the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs' notification, adding NABARD as entry 39 in the list of recognized public financial institutions.
