of <h1>India Updates Cost Accounting Rules for Motor Vehicles to Include Heavy Earth Moving Equipment, Effective Immediately.</h1> The Cost Accounting Records (Motor Vehicles) Amendment Rules, 2001, were issued by the Government of India under the Companies Act, 1956. This amendment modifies the Cost Accounting Records (Motor Vehicles) Rules, 1997, by adding 'Heavy Earth Moving Equipments' to the list of items in rule 2. These changes take effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. The amendment was authorized by the Department of Company Affairs and documented under reference number F.No.52/24/CAB-2000. The principal rules were initially published in 1997 and have been amended previously in 1998.
