<h1>Amendment to Companies rules: rule 4C rendered inapplicable from the Amendment Rules' commencement, effective on gazette publication.</h1> The Amendment Rules insert a proviso to rule 4C providing that nothing in that rule shall apply on and after the commencement of the Companies (Central Government's) General Rules and Forms (Amendment) Rules, 2001; the amendment is made under clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) of section 642 of the Companies Act, 1956 and takes effect from publication in the Official Gazette.
