of <h1>Amendment to Special Economic Zones Rules Changes Effective Date from March 1, 2004, to April 1, 2004.</h1> The Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Rules, 2004, issued by the Central Government, amend the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2003. The amendment changes the effective date in rule 1, sub-rule (2) from '1st day of March, 2004' to '1st day of April, 2004.' These rules take effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette. This amendment follows the principal notification No. 52/2003-Customs (N.T.) and its subsequent amendment by notification No. 118/2003-Customs (N.T.).
