of <h1>India Raises Duty-Free Quota for Bangladesh Apparel Exports to 10 Million Pieces Annually Under Customs Act</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 51/2008-Customs dated April 21, 2008. This amendment increases the duty-free tariff rate quota for apparel exports from Bangladesh from 8 million to 10 million pieces per calendar year. This change, effective from May 25, 2011, is made under the authority granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment is officially documented in Notification No. 42/2011-Customs.
