of <h1>India Amends Service Tax Rules: Removes '(zzh)' from Rule 3 Clause (ii), Effective April 1, 2011</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 23/2011, amending the Taxation of Services (Provided from Outside India and Received in India) Rules, 2006. Effective from April 1, 2011, this amendment involves the omission of the brackets and letters '(zzh)' in clause (ii) of rule 3. This change is made under the authority of sections 93 and 94, read with section 66A of the Finance Act, 1994. The principal rules were initially notified in April 2006 and were last amended in March 2011.
