<h1>India Lowers Minimum Export Price for Onions to $450 per Metric Ton, Excluding Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram Varieties.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the Minimum Export Price (MEP) for onions, excluding Bangalore Rose Onions and Krishnapuram, to US$ 450 per Metric Ton F.O.B., down from the previous US$ 600 per Metric Ton. This change, effective immediately, is part of ongoing adjustments to the Foreign Trade Policy for 2009-2014. The notification outlines a series of amendments to previous notifications, reflecting the evolving export pricing strategy for onions as determined by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
